If a picture is worth a thousand words, how many words describe my daughter Jennifer's new blog. This past week the entire family was at a lost when we discovered that Jennifer's old blog had disappeared from the web and it would take a hundred dollar bill to reclaim it. Then Jenn decided to use the same blogsite service that Jack and I use and started to create a new blog from her reservoir of photos of Baby Jack. Luckily she had previously printed out her monthly summations of Baby Jack's growing experiences since his arrival last July 16 (Which by the way is just around the corner once more.) so she had these "letters to Jack" to post. And she had all these wonderful photos of Baby Jack so she started a Flicker account to post them. Yes, this is what the entire family was so concerned with---you mean you have lost all those wonderful pics of Baby Jack that we love to go back and look at again and again and AGAIN! Let's face it grandparents and aunties get a little anal about baby photos being available at all hours of the day. Like when you are down and out and feeling a little blue just look at the baby photos and you will soon be smiling and laughing your fool head off. So if you would like to smile and laugh your fool head off, head on over to daughter Jenn's new blog.

I left you guys an answer about how close you were to your description of Esta Flory and her kitchen.
ReplyDelete"Well, yes, you got it all right and there is more. The old lady, Esta, wore an apron to protect her old dress with a little hint of lace around the neck, and she always wore a bonnet on her head when cooking or around the table. When that came off she was a pale as a farmer who is burned brownish black on the face, arms and neck but when he takes his cap off, his head looks like a bare baby butt with hair—pale as a sheet."
Then I read your post today about the loss of the blog and reclaiming it for $100.00. What in the world is that all about? I never heard of such a thing but then old ears like mine don't often hear some things we should hear. I will follow the link and read Jenn and Terry as soon as I get finished here.
Thanks to you and others, I have fun trying to post things that may surprise some visitors; make others laugh a bit, but most of all make lots of people aware of things that might not know much about.
When somebody actually takes the time to write a comment on my blogs, about my work and what I do, that to me is the biggest gift a person can give another. It is like a smile on greeting; it is a welcome handshake, and it gives me and my family some hope that the funny farm is still in the future on down the road.
You, yourself, are an inspiration to me.
Such beautiful photography of beautiful things, like the peaceful swing set under the flowers and like the story of Jennifer and Jack, wow. It is impressive indeed.
I come back to say, "thanks for visiting and leaving a comment" but a special thanks for taking the time to photograph interesting things of great beauty. Without that, blogging would be about as exciting as trying to scratch an itch in the right place at the wrong time.
So, thanks for stopping at my blog. And I hope you know, by now, that when you do, I will always try to visit your blog, in return, and leave a comment. I do read what people write and your excellent photography got my attention.
Sincerely,
Abraham Lincoln

I came back and wanted to say I did visit your daughter's blog and admired her photography though at the time I was looking didn't notice it was a Canon camera involved.
