Another view of this Janaury day. Below is a movie of the juncos twittering in the pear tree's bare branches. I wonder if the juncos are anxious for spring to arrive.
Dark-eyed Juncos are around here in some numbers cleaning up all the pieces of seed and peanuts others have nibbled on. The snow is sometimes covered with them. They are very hard to photograph well because the twinkle in the black eye is not easy to distinguish against the dark feathers.
