"The trouble with retirement is that you never get a day off." ~Abe Lemons **We are a school librarian and a federal accountant enjoying retirement--with all its days off. This blog allows us to keep our family and friends updated on some of our thoughts and activities from the mundane to the profound with a few interesting tidbits added for fun. We try to stay imaginative and adventuresome in our every day lives.

Chad Gariety Returning to Iraq
Chad Gariety, son of Tom and Dorothy Gariety and grandson of Carl and Esther Gariety will be returning to Iraq in June for his second tour there with the Ohio National Guard. Right now Chad is training with other Ohio Guards at Camp Shelby near Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Camp Shelby is the largest state owned training site in the nation. With Chad in this photo is his girlfriend, Amy Rigby, who I am sure will be glad when Chad returns next year from his tour in Iraq. Please say a prayer for Chad and all the other Ohio National Guards who will be making Iraq their home for the coming year.
Thank God for people like Chad and his unit! Where would we be without them. Many thoughts and prayers are with them all!
ReplyDeleteJoan: I wish Chad the best and a safe time there.
