In the summertime the Smithsonian Castle has an outdoor display of tropical plants. Jack and I toured the castle early Saturday morning before going to the Folklife Festival. We came early so that it would be easy to find a parking spot for our car on Seventh Street and we did find a great spot to park the car. This is a case where the early bird gets the worm.....er, I mean parking spot."The trouble with retirement is that you never get a day off." ~Abe Lemons **We are a school librarian and a federal accountant enjoying retirement--with all its days off. This blog allows us to keep our family and friends updated on some of our thoughts and activities from the mundane to the profound with a few interesting tidbits added for fun.
