Mardi Gras, Fasching and Carnival
It is called mardi gras in the American south, particularly in New Orleans. It is called fasching in Germany. It is called carnival in Holland and in South America. What is it? It is the partying leading up to Lent, the time of fasting preceding the Easter season that is celebrated around the world by christians and anyone else who likes to enjoy a good party or parade.
