The Bridge of Sighs

The Bridge of Sighs is in Venice, Italy. This week I finished reading Richard Russo's new book, The Bridge of Sighs, which is novel that relates the doings of four familys in upstate New York over a forty plus year period. It is one of those novels that moves forwards and backwards through time revealing slowly all the hidden thoughts, emotions and actions of the main characters. I enjoyed the book but wished the book had more of the main action in Venice. I loved Venice when I visited it many years ago. Our daughter Jeanine when she visited Venice on a three week college trip that took her to France as well as Italy took these photos in Venice.
