This guitarist played for us one night at a restaurant called Cafe de Paris.

If you are willing to stand for the entire show you can see every night this summer a free performance of Circus Soleil under a city bypass. They have put up fences to this area and the gates open at 9:00 P.M. and the show starts at 9:30 P.M.

We were a little skeptical but in retrospect we were really glad that we went even though we had to stand. The show was so amazing that you forgot about your tired legs. And it was a long and thorough performance with many acts that performed in the air and on a stage as well as in the audience. There were fire features too. The show lasted for a good hour and fifteen minutes and was just as good as the Circus Soleil show we saw at Downtown Disney in Orlando, Florida for mega bucks. So from now until September if you can make it to Quebec City, do take in this great free show.

The weekend we were in Quebec City there were lots of free street performances as well. At this public square we listened to a performance of an African style rock band.

The band sounded a little bit like a Jamaican band.

This fellow was one part trapeze artist and two parts comedian.

Families with small children really enjoyed his act.

One afternoon we came across this two person band that has a great sound. The woman played three different accordions during the act. The one above was like a cross between accordion and a bagpipe. Very strange looking. And the sound this duel made had a Louisiana Cajun vibe.

My dad used to call accordions squeeze boxes.
