Spring Dreams of Summer

Jack and I worked outside yesterday. We edged some flower beds, picked up leaves and pulled up weeds. Somebody tell me why weeds comeback quicker than the perennial flowers? We had fun. And I kept picturing in my mind when my garden will look like this photo from last summer.

Today is a spring day. Sunny and warm and the birds are singing! Today we will do more of the same. In addition, we are going to babysit our 7 month old grandson, Jack, for the very first time. Since he is a totally breastfed baby I hope our babysitting time turns out ok. I told my daughter to bring along some of those frozen applesauce popsicles
that Jack loves so much. Just in case.
